  • Does Roberto Duran get too much credit for beating a Green Ray Leonard?

Ray Leonard was a 21 year old fighter no where near his prime. His strength later increased, his ring generalship later increased and so did his punching power.

Does Duran get too much credit for that victory?

you mean he ran from duran when it mattered.

you guys act like he whooped duran. duran just got frustrated because ray wouldn't fight.

                he never said "no mas"

he said , "forget it. this damn pussy doesn't want to fight."

at the end of the day , a past it , old duran fighting above his weight class whooped a prime ray when ray fought him.

Leonard gets too much credit for beating Duran. That was a terrible performance by Leonard as bad as Dirrell vs Froch.

                    Too.....much......******ation.....!

Leonard outboxed Duran in their rematch. He didnt run, he hammered Duran when Duran bull rushed him.
I believe he was starting to hurt and humiliate Duran, and thats why he quit.

Duran faced several other fighters at LW who ran all night, but Duran eventually got to them.

Duran may have jumped up in weight, but he was still prime. Less wild, more patient and experienced then he was for most of his LW career. A strong, fast welterweight.
