Mundine and Alvarez will battle for the WBA's interim-junior middleweight title. Mundine confirmed the injury, stating that he suffered a cut above his eye from a sparring session.

I don't think Mundine can make 156 and the cut is a reprieve. He needs more time, but 156 will drain him no matter what. He's going to kill himself to lose muscle mass, he's a big middle weight.
