  • USA get out of the dark ages: Lack of Paid Maternity leave

Even though me and my partner can't have a child, we feel sorry for women in smaller countries. There is no law for them to get paid maternity leave. Scary!

Everyone but U.S.: The State of Maternity Leave
The United States remains one of three countries that don’t mandate paid maternity leave. Here’s what we’re missing.

But women 'evolved' to give birth. It's not their fault that they with partner want a baby or even accidentally have one.

You must be an evil rapist type man who goes aroudn whistling at women on the street

How else do you encourage procreation amongst the more responsible members of society ?

Otherwise only poor teen single mums and the ultra rich will have kids.

I don't see anything wrong with not paying someone who isn't doing any work.

What about them? If they have a job and don't go in to work they won't get paid.

We aren't talking about benefits. I don't think the employer should have to pay an employee that doesn't work.

The government pays maternity leave, at least in this country.
