Those wondering whether Adrien Broner would have trouble making weight for a second straight fight might have had their questions answered — it doesn’t appear so.

Broner weighed in at 139 pounds on Nov. 9, giving him a week to lose just four pounds and make the lightweight limit for his Nov. 17 bout with Antonio DeMarco, according to information provided to BoxingScene.com by William Boodhoo, an official with the World Boxing Council sanctioning body. Broner’s weight was certified by Rudy Tellez, Boodhoo said.

I'm no Broner fan but the only number that matters is making the weight when it matters most. What a fighter weighs when the bell rings does not change the legalities as long as they make the weigh in.

What kills Demarco having a greater chance to win is he does not always fight tall and bends in like Jason Litzau does and that puts his chin out there. To make it a war, he would have to tuck the chin better. He also leaves his punches out there after throwing and that decreases his defence. When Broner loses, it will be by the fact that his mouth is wide open in every fight and his jaw will get cracked at some point because of that.

If he beats DeMarco and makes weight like he should then all is good.
