Welllllllll, now you have your wish and Mayweather is ready to do it. Just because Canelo (who is not nearly as big in any sense, and not the champion in his bout), and DLH are digging their heels in, the same so-called fans suddenly forget they want the fight. All of a sudden they (and Arum) care more about something that could get in the way, and who are they pi$$ed at? The person trying to make the fight happen. THAT's messed up logic for you.

Riddle me this. If Arum is supposed to be promoting Cotto, who is a bigger selling fighter than Canelo, given the right date and venue (MSG), why does he care so much about what is right for Canelo and Mexicans at the expense of his own fighter? Which by proxy could be at the expense of Pacquiao too? It makes no sense.

Canelo cotto needs all the help it can get. So they are looking out for their best interests financially, which extends beyond two aging fighters. Therefore does it not make the most sense to have canelo cotto on may second in order to maximize profits? Or does it make sense to put a fight that needs no help at all in that date, in the process crippling your other event which now has to be moved to another date? If you were in their position I think you'd see it's an easy answer.
