Is it a requirement to have a trainer to compete in the Golden Gloves?

I really want to fight in the Golden Gloves and train at a gym. I had a few amateur matches a couple years ago and have been sparring and want to fight in the Golden Gloves. Do I need a trainer to fight in the Golden Gloves or can I go in and fight independently?

Ideally I would like to but the competition is in just weeks now and physically my conditioning is very good and that is what the fights really consist of at this level. My old trainer has moved to another city and I do not know anyone else.
