  • Comments Thread For: Conor McGregor Gets Approval For Boxing License In California

Conor McGregor clearly knows how to generate interest in his career. Espn.com reported Wednesday night that McGregor's application for a boxing license in California has been approved by the California State Athletic Commission. Whether McGregor actually intends to participate in what would be his first professional boxing match is unknown, but his licensure certainly will increase speculation that the UFC lightweight champion intends to eventually fight Floyd Mayweather Jr. in a boxing match.

Conor at 147 will knock everyone out, he uses a wide stance, and has long ass arms.

Floyd should avoid him, Floyd only fights guys with shorter reach than him.

Conor is powerful, has an iron chin, and is unorthodox and started from a boxing background.

If he transfers over to boxing he could do what Lomachenko did and fight for a world title in like 6 fights.

Conor is going to boxing because he knows he is worth more than what the UFC pays him, UFC is not paying him 5 million they pay him like 1 million to show and an extra 500k, he is just talking big, he rents his cars, and lives in rented homes, yet he outdraws all boxers right now he is young only 28.

Conor can take an L and still draw.

I see him dominating 147, you can hate but Conor transfering and succeeding in boxing is GREAT for boxing! we need this, im rooting for him it will help the sport.

UFC just stripped him of his 145lb belt, so he's putting a scare into them. Supposedly under the Muhammed Ali act they can't prevent him from boxing.
