I think you guys are mistaking the point of this thread. I'm a big Magic fan. He's obviously an ATG.

What made him so good was that he was a 6'8-6'9 player that could handle the ball and that height also gave him that added court vision. before him nobody his size would ever do that. they would just sit in the post and do 1 or 2 moves and try to score. This is what made him a hard matchup defensively. He could over power small guys and bigger guys who never played perimeter defense would get beat off the dribble.

his physical athleticism had less to do with it than his skills. thats all I'm saying.
