Hopkins would never be dropped by the likes of a Caparello, or a Fonfara

I just re checked it - Echols hit him after the break, so it wasn't ruled a legit KD.

As far as I can make out he was dropped twice vs Mercado and twice vs Pascal, one of which was questionable.

So he's been dropped 4 times in his career.

Kovalev didn't get knocked down. He got tripped.

That shouldn't have been ruled as a KD.

He was knocked down and it was rightfully ruled.
He was knocked down as the result of a punch.

The Mercado fight was in Ecuador at an extremely high altitude. All the fighters in the card were extremely affected by the altitude. Anyways Don King staged the fight in Mercado's home country to give his fighter the best chance to win. Hopkins just wouldn't have a part of it.

No, he went down because he lost his balance due to his foot being stood on.

Caparello stepped on Kovalev's foot so he was obviously off balance. He wasn't hurt at all.

These are the only times he's been KD. First KD against Pascal was in the back of the head. Second was legit.

Against Mercado I think it may have been related to the high elevation in Ecuador. Not sure if Bhop was properly adjusted to that environment as he seemed a bit weak and fatigued. The immediate rematch in America bhop made easy work of him.

So there was a 17 year gap between those two fights. Mercado in 1994 and Pascal 2011

Echols nearly dropped him in the first fight but B-Hop survived.
