Wrong! Wrong wrong wrong! This is the biggest issue I have with the singing of the national anthem. You yanks never sing your own bloody anthem. You always get some pretentious **** to warble a vague representation of the tune instead of just letting it be sung.

Your anthem has been spoiled by ****witted singers who see their attempt as their moment in the spotlight instead of giving the song the respect it deserves. Butchering the British anthem like that is a hanging offence in England and quite bloody right too.

try singing and posting it, caruso. you're probably not even italian... you probably couldn't discern between caruso and blind bocelli. what do you know of a world class red sauce? what measure of joy have garlic and olive oil brought to your life?

it is not an easy song to sing. there are some very low notes to start out, and you've got some very high ones to finish. you can pvssyfoot your way through it, but if you want to actually belt the notes out you need some pipes. while i agree that a professional should be able to bang it out without butchering the thing, it's not something that your average fan at a sporting event can sing.

hon mention to the pinoy national anthem. the noises those guys make will always make me laugh.
