For decades? You say that like he has fought for 60 years. He's only boxes for two decades.

Who takes the unofficial weight, is it HBO or Showtime, are does the fighter just report what they weighed that morning.

For all we know Floyd jumping on the scale naked while he opponent has his weight taken with a coat on and a food on the stomach.

There comes a time you just have to use common sense, no way Maidana outweighed Floyd by 15lbs and still looked the smaller man. Manny looks like he's closer to 150lbs and is much smaller than Floyd.

And look at Floyd versus Canelo, who's unofficial weight was 165 and then look at Maidana who supposedly weighed the same. Seems unlikely.

Facts show that Floyd moved up because he wasn't able to fight in smaller weights anymore. His body grown.

The only moment when he moved up was the times he fought at 154, and he never fought at 154 against elite opposition. He was a paper champ at 154.

It's like GGG going to 168 to fight Chavez Jr or Froch. Mayweather didn't fight the best names at 154, avoided Lara for example. So when you Floyd fans say that GGG isn't willing to move up for greatness, I let you know that your idol didn't move up for greatness either. He never took the risk.

Now that I have educated some of you, I go to party.
1)because he didn't feel like it and 2)because he didn't feel like it.

Floyd fought at 130, 135, 140, and 147, before journeying up to 154 for certain fights. By the time of the Marquez fight, Floyd's routine was already set; keep fighting fit year round, eat a full diet, train like a madman, step on the scale at the weigh-in, and fight. You never saw Floyd in any sauna, in any plastics, starving himself or any of that.

If he can get to 147 and feel strong, by simply working hard and keeping on his routine, while also having the position/money to make nearly any fight that he wanted, why in the heck would he bother with torturing his body to get down to any weight (Even if it's only an 8-week camp, Floyd is in the gym for 3 hours, twice a day, in addition to his runs, and only gets down to 147)?

I think it's more than that. Take a quick look at some of the threads he's created. Floyd has genuinely ruined his life.

There was an interview with Floyd talking about his weight a while ago. He said he doesn't like cutting weight and doesn't like coming in more than 3lbs on fight night. He looks down on that and thinks fighters should fight around their walk around weight. Which is why, despite walking around 150, and being 147lbs one month before his WW fights easily, he refuses to cut off 10lbs to make 140 and refused to cut off 6 lbs for Marquez. People missed it I guess, but there was a prefight interview where Floyd actually said that, they're selling this as a catchweight fight but is actually a welterweight fight. He wasn't even going to try to make 144, and he had made up his mind that he wasn't going to make long before the weigh in. You just have to see his interviews leading up to the fight and you would see he was always gonna come in at whatever weight he wants 147 or below.

I don't think people get Floyd training still, after all these years. You don't see that part of his success comes from using gym time to prepare for fights, not to prepare his weight. Which is why he's always showing that he is 147-148lbs already with one month to go. It's easy for him, but you all think it's hard for some reason

We should all know by now the kind of shape Mayweather keeps himself in outisde of fighting, smart money is that even if he took a year off, he definitely didn't take two and trained to prime shape before picking the opponent. Plus he's a natural 135/140lb'er right? so that's no excuse.

He only outgrew 130 lbs, all the other weight classes he actually had to add muscle to compete at them, there's a reason why Floyd Mayweather was outweighed at almost all the weight classes he fought at and that's because he didn't drain himself of water weight and then regained it overnight after the weigh in, he built his body up and he doesn't have much fat or water weight, and that's why u can't move back down after u gained pure muscle, u can ask Roy Jones about that.

Once again, Floyd Mayweather held to a higher standard. Do you hear how you guys sound? He keeps himself in prime shape, but prime shape and prime weight are not the same thing. There's a huge difference between being in shape and being in fighting shape. So it is not at all ironic that the one time Floyd misses weight is when hes coming off a huge lay-off. Occams Razor. Instead, you guys would rather believe conspiracy theories.

He moved up to fight Canelo (at 152). Canelo was coming off a victory against Trout. That victory put Canelo at the top of the division.

Also, it's clear Floyd only fought at LMW for big money fights. He never consistently campaigned there so I wouldn't say he avoided Lara.

                      :
                      It's simple.

Floyd was boxing's biggest diva who also happened to be boxing's biggest cash cow. He didn't have to **** if he didn't want to.

I'm sure he could have made 144 for Marquez and 140 even in his later years, there just wasn't a bigger cash cow around that would cause Floyd to make that kind of sacrifice.
