Apparently, Gamboa is being questioned about his attire this past weekend in a showdown located in Mexico. He wore both the Cuban flag and Mexican Flag colors on his shorts for the bout that evening, and it seems many fans of his questioned him over his decision. This is what he said through his FB page,
"ncreible pero cierto. El tema del dia es las razones por las que me vesti como me vesti.
En el Boxeo hay que venderse para vender pero en la vida hay que ser agradecido. Y a el momento mas dificil de mi carrera fue Mexico, Cancun y Pepe Gomez quien me dio una oportunidad.
Asi que las explicaciones sobran."

"Incredible but true. The topic of the day is the reasoning behind me dressing the way I dressed.
In Boxing you have to sell yourself in order to sell, but in life you have to be grateful. During the most difficult moment in my career, it was Mexico, Cancun and Pepe Gomez whom gave me an opportunity. Therefore, no need for explanations"
Gamboa "El Ciclon de Cancun" Gamboa? . Serious note, he addressed his questioning fans appropriately. Glad to see him being embraced by fans regardless of where they are from and what country he is in. A fighter such as himself would be a horrible waste of talent if he were to simply sit on the sidelines for the rest of his career.
