          At heavyweight? Without any question whatsoever. He beat a lot of good fighters before Ali, and that win was the feather in his cap. His career was short, but great.

            He's definitely a Hall of Famer. He's similar to today's Shane Mosley or Juan Manuel Marquez. His legacy is defined by who he's fought and their merits, but not so much his own.

            It doesn't mean that his name isn't engraved in boxing history.

                  I'll add a bit. His legacy is obviously tied to who he fought. I don't put him among the absolute best P4P, but I certainly rank him as an ATG HW, a HOFer and one of the signature names in boxing history.

                    Arturo Gatti was involved in one of the greatest trilogies of all time as well. And he won it.

                      I see your point, but Gatti's trilogy was against Micky Ward. Frazier's was against Ali.
