I mean this thread is like more than 2 years ago but it's a question with a very obvious answer. I mean we are talking about Ali smh.

Muhammad Ali or Wladimir Klitschko - Who Is The More Exciting Heavyweight?
Collapse
-
Ali was stylistically a naturally boring fighter. People tend to forget that. They think just because he was charismatic he also must have been an exciting fighter. He would also use that charisma in the ring to camouflage the lack of excitement in his fights. That said he was still in some of the greatest heavyweight fights of all time, though that might be more down to Joe Frazier than Ali. Nothing like that can be said about Wlad.

Ali did not have a crowd friendly fighting style. For example you can count the exciting moments of this fight on one hand.

Old fighters aren't held to the same level of criticism as today's fighters. New boxing fans will automatically praise old fighters just to fit into the crowd so inevitably they become untouchable. If Ali fought today we'd be talking about him in the same way we talk about Mayweather.Last edited by croz; 01-01-2013, 09:11 AM.

Then you throw in that Ali was in some of the greatest fights ever with Joe Frazier and George Foreman, this question is insulting to Ali.
