UFC problem with creating mega fights

On Sherdog they call every title fight a mega fight. Its funny, yet annoying. Some serious delusion to MMAs and UFC fighters true popularity over there.

Well they usually pit the champ vs a legit #1 contender, unlike boxing where we get terrible challengers for the most part....

If boxing was like UFC or even mma in general, we would be getting these fights

heavy- wlad/fury
cruiser huck/polish dude
lightheavy kovolev/stevenson
168 ward-froch 2
160 cotto/ggg
154 cotto/canelo
147 floyd/manny
140 danny/peterson for the belts
135 vasquez vs abril
etc
etc


None of those fights will happen anytime soon, except for floyd and manny and that only took 7 years to make

wtf? UFC title fights are legit unlike boxing but even still MMA fans aren't that delusional to think every title fight is a mega fight.

Kovalev-Stevenson isn't that bad. It will be a title unification fight.

We will get Stevenson vs hopkins before we get a kovolev fight, especially after pascal getting bombed out

Wouldn't surprise me either but he was quoted after the Kovalev-Pascal fight as saying it will happen. So he's probably fought everyone else and hyped himself enough, made enough money and is now ready to get his ass kicked.
