Hearns fought Hagler MW not WW. His loss to SRL was also a close fight (unlike Cotto vs Pac) and would have won if he didn't gas right at the end.

What about Duran? He is still considered one of the best, beat SUGAR RAY and then lost(quit) against leonard in 2nd fight but still fought and beat pipino cuevas and davey moore. Sometimes very good fighters lose. Chavez lost, sugar ray, tyson. We don't kill tyson for losing BADDDDDDDDD to buster but we kill cotto for losing to a very good fighter like Pacquiao. cotto would get thumped out with a right hand within a couple of rounds in similar destruction fashion as duran,and cuevas who were pummeled,hearns is to tall the only thing duran or cuevas were able to hit was hearns waist,when cuevas got hit with that right hand it looked like he had just consumed a bottle of tequila,and duran when he got up 5 minutes later after being hit with a right that sounded like a shot gun blast,duran said he does not remember,no kidding he does not remember he was out like a light,cotto would be another victim of the thunderous right of hearns
