Yeah he did, Beat the likes of Holmes, Bruno, Berbick etc. Fought greats such as Holyfield, Lewis but was unable to win however his mere presence dominated the world, and quickly become a well-known personality. So yeah, He's one of the best ever in my opinion

The problem when people try to knock Tyson is that when he was in his prime no one would fight him. When he was out of his prime was when he fought the bigger names.

Ali was great not only just because he was great but he was around during a time where he had names to prove his greatness. Tyson did not have that as much as Ali or Leonard.

The problem with Boxing is timing is everything. If there was no Tyson at the time a lot of the guys he beat would of been champions. Maybe would of been known as really good heavyweights. But when a guy like Mike blows them away, we tend to see them as nobody's. You have to wonder, if Lewis and Holyfield would of fought Tyson earlier in his prime and if Tyson would of beaten them, would we even be having this discussion?

So, Tyson was already out of his prime when he got dominated by Douglas, right?

            ^^^ this right here.

if Ali didn't leave boxing for those 3 years, would Foreman and Frazier be considered as great... nope. Foreman and Frazier would be on Norton's level had Ali not left the sport for that period of time.
