  • Khan Time Wasted As Brook Pulls Out Of Bout Like He Did With Alexander and Chaves?

We know Brook has pulled out of many fights after they've been made. This is documented several times - he pulled out of two fights with Alexander and one fight with Chaves, after contracts were signed, ultimately never to face those opponents. He also pulled out of negotiations with Rios and Bradley and has openly stated that he wouldn't want to fight Thurman immediately.

Khan's time has been wasted before with Mayweather on many occasions as well as most recently with Pacquiao, both of whom have said they'd fight Khan, keep Khan waiting for their decisions, only to choose a different opponent in the end. [Note: Some casual fans who don't know much about the sport actually try to blame Khan for trying to make fights with both Floyd and Manny but that's another story, and perhaps a testament to how low the IQ of many casual boxing fans has fallen in recent times].

Is it almost a foregone conclusion that if Khan vs Brook enters negotiations, Brook is virtually guaranteed to pull out of the fight either at the negotiation stage or at some point during the build up? He has a firm track record of doing so in the past when he steps up his level of opposition so can we safely say he'll do it yet again?

There is a possibility, but Khan is about to make Brook a very rich man, after which Brook will more than likely retire.

Brook was never in this for the legacy, 35 fights, 34 bums.

He will never fight Thurman, he will avoid young Spence at all costs, he would have never fought a Maidana with 10 ounce gloves let alone 8 ounce gloves. The only reason he fought Porter was because, he had no choice, it was the end of the road for him.

He would never step in the ring with Danny Garcia or Petterson.

Brook has never been in the ring with a puncher, he did indeed duck Chaves, he did duck Rios.

Win or lose, Brook will retire after the Khan fight. He is a party animal, he loves taking coke up his nose, koks up his bum and gobbling on mince pies.

Great points. Brook has virtually a career-long reputation of pulling out of various fights, it's like he has a compulsion to pull out of fights when they're being negotiated or even after they've been made.

If you think about it's almost like he has some sort of psychological disorder because he's pulled out of so many fights, it's surely not coincidence and must be some sort of mental issue, or maybe he just hasn't trained right because he's busy partying so he pulls out which I suppose is still a psychological issue.

If I was advising Khan I would tell him to never sign a fight agreement with Brook unless he gave a 50% down payment of expected revenues or something. Doubt Brook will sign though, he just wants to **** people around. Can't believe the hate David Haye got when he pulled out of fights with Fury while this fraud still has fans.

Khan's last two: Algieri, Alexander = 2 former world champions.

Brook's last two: Dan, Gavin = euro level bums

            Who wasted time, Sherlock?

talk about shooting yourself in the foot with that one, like taking candy from a baby..

Good call I think, they should definitely get it written into the contracts because Brook's track record of pulling out of fights is way too consistent for it to be some sort of coincidence. I found it strange too that there's a separate rule for Brook compared to Haye when Brook's actually pulled out of far more fights + negotiations than Haye in total. Haye has actually fought some very good competition throughout his career, while compare that to Brook who only has one half-decent opponent on his entire record because he's pulled out of so many fights once they get made or during negotiations, it's as if he's actually ducking as many decent opponents as possible.

Khan is his one and only money fight. I don't see it happening. Unless fear predominates more than money.

I think he's ready to retire at any moment. But he has to get his money fight first, win or lose.

This guy should have signed up with Haymon long time ago.

Brook won't pull out, this is what his whole career has been built around, cashing out on a mega domestic fight with King. He'd starve for a week to make the weight if that is what it takes.

                    On a side note:

If Khan is fighting Brook in summer then a bum fight is a mandatory (no pun intended). I'd say showcase Brook on Amir's under card in America when Kell fights Bizier cuz Eddie said Brook-Bizier would be a tough sell on British soil due to Kevin's Jo Jo Dan problems. This would be like a promotion for the fight itself in America.
