You ever tried Mackieson, it taste like Guinness mixed with treacle :

Milk stout was believed to be nutritious, and was recommended to nursing mothers. In 1875, John Henry Johnson first sought a patent for a milk beer, based on whey, lactose, and hops.[1]

    Sounds absolutely disgusting.
I haven't had HobGoblin in years I hardly remember what its like. All I know is that its from the same brewery. Never had Mackieson.

I could never get into the Belgiums. They all seem to have this kind of distinct yeasty acrid taste to me. Maybe it's just my American palate but I can't get over that yucky taste.

Give me a nice American craft beer lager or ale, and I'm happy.

Its your individual palate. No everyone will like the taste of every kind beer, despite its quality.
