  • Experts - How many calories should I eat per day?

    I do a 60 minute run every day, up hill on a treadmill.

    I have been trying to eat around 2300 calories per day. But, I just cant stem my hunger. Im constantly hungry.

    IMO, calorie intake is something you want to do a lot of reading about, rather than seeking advice on a forum (I say this as a former nutritionist). But, regarding hunger, I recommend going for things like vegetables, rice cakes, popped corn w/no fat/oil, sugar-fee deserts and drinks (get the ones with Spenda when possible), in addition to chewing gum and drinking extra water (both of which can curb hunger). Sometimes, you may get cravings because you're lacking some type of nutrient. So, easy good, balanced foods. Beyond that, it's a matter of overcoming the psychological element.

      When I get hungry I just put some nuts (not the gay kind) in my mouth or some fruit whenever I'm hungry. Just eventually eat throughout the day. Also calorie consumpsion depends on your goals (eg. losing weight eat less then you burn/gaining eat more!).
