I agree with you. He stepped over the line, infringing on White Southerners rights to own a slave.

I think this should not only have been a state local issue to decide, but the Slave Owners themselves should have the right to decide. This should have carried over to present time and Private Property rights regarding the Civil Rights Act, as Rand Paul pointed out....

To be honest, I don't really give a ****.

That was a developing-of-the-country era well before my or my grandfather's time.

To me, Lincoln is just a Historical character, like King Arthur, Alexander the Great or Robin Hood - true or fictional, it doesn't matter.

I reserve the **** calling regarding specific nitpicking issues for present day/era Politicians. But this wasn't about politics anyway, just about Daniel Day Lewis and his awesome talents as an actor.

i think it has potential to be a great flick... anytime he's in a movie it adds a great deal of potential to the project
