Compton got lazy (although as a batsman when you play on like that you always feel unlucky) and the cook shot was terrible especially considering he was dropped the over before that.

As for KP I felt it was a good ball to get first up, full and swung in late.

NZL are a good work out pre Ashes. At home, they fight tooth and nail. Eng will win mind you, just too much quality compared to the Kiwis.

fair enough. Good to have a vet like Bell in to calm things down. Not many rate him but ive seen Bell bat very well when the rest of the team arent, good scrapper him.

Yeah and he's a good player to watch very elegant. Trott is trott, he will just bat and bat. England with a sort of a recovery at the moment but losing 3 quick wickets means you're always just 1 wicket away from being in trouble.

Eng top order is very good. Cook, Trott, KP, Bell and Prior are all solid players. Root and Compton are gifted newcomers.
