  • People seen Lil G beat Canelo up in sparring like people see Aliens, Sasquatch, Big Foot, and the Lochness Monster.

Those are the same people that also believe what comes out of Lil Gs mouth. As if he doesn't lie and contradict himself every day.

    My gawd.

Peter Quillin, Daniel Jacobs, Chris Eubank Jr, Andy Lee, Dominic Wade, Ievgen Kytrov, Tureano Johnso, and basically every other middleweight fighter currently rated in the top 20 would all be near death on the scale if they had to weigh-in at 154 for a prizefight.

Alvarez makes the weight comfortably (in his opinion), and can still fight a hard 12-round fight at the weight.

      you played yourself.

Anthony Mundine is an example that I did leave out; my mistake.

Still (though Michel Soro, Gabriel Rosado, and possibly Willie Monroe Jr could fit the bill), the list is far slimmer than folks want to count (Kassim Ouma would also be on the list).

Just for argument's sake, name three atg middleweights who were able to go down to 154 and bang it out (Bernard Hopkins is in the discussion, but it's unclear how far back down he had to go).

        • So in theory, and hence "super theory," Golovkin can beat anybody from 154-168, has HERCULES power, is a "p4p badass," but didn't publicize that he wanted Alvarez at the 155 bluff. Golovkin is on record for wanting Pac or Floyd at 154, but not Alvarez? How does this work?

It's Golovkin's fault for waiting on a Payday? Promoted with the WBA and WBC is better than not accepting a Lineal holder's bluff for 5lbs?

He then mocks in public media initially that Brook was too small, all trash talk...seriously can't believe boxing fans eat this crap to save their hero's image for the sake of bandwagonism

"Near death"? You just owned yourself with that brainless statement! And Alvarez's last 5 fights were over 154! That makes him a middleweight! Live with it or take your Prozac if it hurts so much to hear that. On top of that, chisled Curtis Stevens from 168 to 160, that's 8 pounds and has won 3 in a row so don't give me that sht about how a middleweight couldn't drop down 6 pounds and still fight! Canelo is a middleweight and has been a middleweight for almost a half dozen fights who has now cornered himself and has to drop down to 154 because he put himself in that situation. He shot himself in the foot with his own words!

              Alvarez fought at 155lbs!

A weight that was literally at the "154lbs + 1" weight of every junior middleweight fight that's not a title fight/eliminator.

why do folks like you continue to recreate, in your own minds, Saul Alvarez fighting at 160lbs against middleweights? Alvarez has literally never fought an actual middleweight fighter, with Cotto being the closest thing and it being obvious that Cotto is simply a small 154/big 147.

Obviously you are hilariously new to boxing. Lesson #1, Anything over 154 is Middleweight. Last 5 fights shows that Canelo was a middleweight who even had to drain down to 155. Lesson #2, a fighter does not have to fight a middleweight to be a middleweight. No more free info. Next time I charge. Cash or PayPal only, no checks accepted.
