After all, we've seen dark forces in the US government carry out a coup de tat in it's own country by assassinating JFK, then there's the overthrowing of several democratically elected governments to protect their own interests, the atom bombs in WW2, the use of agent orange in Vietnam, the war crimes in Cambodia, and East Timor, the massive involvement in the drug trade, the Waco massacre, the use of white phosphorus in Fallujah in 2005, and the universal spying on it's own citizens etc etc...
