I guess I wouldn't have a problem with it per-se as long as it wasn't the employers responsibility(Because if I ever made it to that position **** paying people to do no work). If we had to pay a little extra in taxes to encourage more smart people to have babies then I would be cool with that.

We have maternity leave here in Denmark. I know quite a few buisness owners and almost all of them try to avoid hirering women age 20-29 as they know they'll get zero out of them. It's illegal to pick and chose based on age and gender but they find some other BS excuse to pick a more mature woman or a man.

Honestly.. I don't blame them. Young women seek security so that they can reproduce. It's biology.. Having a man and a job gives the young woman that security. As a result the buisness have to go find new workers to replace the woman they already hired, while they pay for the now pregnant woman be a stay at home mom...

i own a [very] small business myself, and could never afford to pay a woman to sit at home and take care of somebody else's baby. i think it's insane if she's not giving me the ***** and taking care of my baby to have to pay her.

We pay people to do anything.

Money for having kids (Maternity leave)
Taking care of kids (state paid "Child's pay" until the kid reaches age 18 to the parents) (Børnepenge)
Free college (University)
Free monthly money for just attending college (SU)
(almost) free work insurence (Dagpenge)
Free healthcare
Free money while you're sick from your job (sick pay) (Sygedagpenge)
Welfare
Disability
etc etc etc etc etc
