You want to hear something weird. I used to work with a bunch of Arabs, mostly from Morocco and Tunisia but there were from all over the Arab world.
Anyway, they had jokes about Palestinians, like even they weren't really empathetic about the situation going on over there. It was a real shock when they would tell me their views on Palestinians.
I'm sure it's not all of the Arab world, but it just seemed odd to me. If for example, some Latin American country was being treated unjustly, or even the perception of that happening, the rest of Latin America rallies around that country, like for example the Falkland Islands, where in Latin America they are called "Las Malvinas" and you won't find many Latin American countries that will use the term "Falklands".
