First is that both Sky and Hearn will want to blow up AJ's first title shot into something absolutely massive, a 'historic night in British sport' level of bull****. No groundwork has been laid for this Martin thing at all and it's way ahead of schedule. Second is that if AJ wins the belt he'll have to defend it. Maybe the IBF will play along but maybe they won't. Either way AJ would suddenly be under a lot more pressure to fight real opposition. Something's that not there at the moment.
Maybe they'll take the shot anyway but wouldn't surprise me if they passed.
