          For that to happen,
Other countries should show their support for the population and condemn Qhadaffi's government and atrocities in public or world arena. That way their military will fear there will be actions against them if the continue hurting the poplulation. Some of them will flip side and some will refuse to obey their "master's command.

they need nuns to pray with rosaries in front of tanks and the support of the local cardinal.

            people power!

wait...... i don't think nuns and a cardinal would help in libya......

You think they don't know what they're doing is wrong? They don't care if there will be consequences. If they are loyal to Gadhafi then they believe what he tells them, so regardless of what is said by the international community, they won't listen

they need a top ranking military officer to defect.

small units here and there won't mean much.

once you get a major division or even a whole military branch to defect then dominos will fall. maybe not a complete defection but enough to make a difference.

all the videos i see is mostly unarmed protesters. maybe some soldiers here and there but nothing major.

they need a major military leader to defect.

There Tua answered your question.........Qhadaffi's right hand is awfully quiet and wating for international support for the people before he flip to the other side....
His son went back there (Libya) coming from Canada....

I hate the fact that the US has to come to the rescue to "fix" the problem. Doing so costs as billions if not more every time. What pisses me the **** off is the Libyan people has over 3 decades to make a plan to knock Gadhafi off. 3 fucking decades and instead the can't even defend themselves and are being slaughtered in the street like animals.

If they(Libyans) had been organized it wouldn't cost the international community as much as it will if NATO and the UN decide to step in.

                      from http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-12307698

1812: Reports from Zawiya, where fierce battles have been raging throughout the day, suggest civilians have been learning how to use rocket-propelled grenades in order to defend their homes.
