Yes.

I am personally surprised that this is going on in any capacity anymore (outside of the mid/south-west), this was a trend that was dying out/getting made fun of when I was on my way out of the music scene full time (2008-2009).

I still get into the mosh pit at punk shows, but this garbage is and always has been just embarrassing. People I knew that used to be into it now try to completely deny any involvement.

I was doing this not 30 minutes ago. When you're watching a good hardcore band and they go into a crushing breakdown, you do have the impulse to flip the fuck out.
