  • Comments Thread For: Burns, Mitchell Will Settle The Score on September 22nd

Kevin Mitchell, 33-1 (24), will challenge Ricky Burns, 34-2 (9), for the WBO lightweight title in Glasgow live on BoxNation on September 22. Mitchell had hoped to vie for Burns's belt on the undercard of David Haye versus Dereck Chisora at Upton Park on July 14, but will now have to travel to Burns's home turf for the eagerly awaited clash between two of Britain's best lightweights.

Yeah it should be a very good fight, I'd favour Burns but when Mitchell's at his best he's relentless.

              Great. Slightly favor Burns.

              But Kevin can win.

ha ha ha. This pretty much sums up the last 18 months. As soon as a decent fight is announced we all assume the worst. The sad thing is, there's no disagreeing with you.

This is a great fight. It is not easy to predict the result.

Indeed. I'd give it to Burns but not by much.
