      Back to hotdogs.

      When Im a bbq, you can smell the burps in the air.

      And why is the event itself called a BBQ? If you invited friends over to a party where you fried food, would you call the event a frying pan?

            most people who cook in their backyard are grilling.

            which is cooking with charcoal or gas, at a high heat for a short period of time.

            bbq is cooking with wooden coals for long period of time.

              Most seem to ignore the distinction. I do.

                most people dont know.

                there is a huge difference though.

                when i mean short compared to long.

                short= 20 minutes to an hour.

                long= 8 to 12 hours.

                hell for memorial day my uncle used to cook a full pig for 24 hours.

                real bbq the meat should just slide off the bone

                grilling just simply cooks it where bbq tenderizes and flavors
