Front foot when throwing the left hook

    for power you MUST pivot otherwise you will hit only abt half as hard.

    not pivotting does give a faster recovery time however. i often throw a hook without pivot then follow immediatly with the same hook with pivot. few people expect a double left hook so you can often catch them.

      Then one of the hardest hitting middleweights Golovkin has been hooking wrong.

        Practice shifting your body weight the opposite way (By moving your right arm left) then shift back by twisting you hips and front foot.

            Basically your weight should be shifting from your front foot to your back foot on a regular hook. When doing Power hooks you are shifting all your weight and your front/back foot.
