We have confirmed that May 5th is an obligation, at least according to people involved in the Legal system. So Manny has no ground to stand on as to why he can't fight on May 5th.
I'd like to see Alvarez and Kirkland fight, than Floyd fight the winner in December. Or, Guerrero can fight Lucas Matthysse or Humberto Soto, than Danny Garcia at 140. Than, he could fight someone like Alexander, Khan, Berto, Ortiz, and than Floyd if he won those 3 fights.
That's the only way I'd want to see Guerrero or Alvarez fight Floyd.

This fight should take place in a larger arena. The fighters should have guarantees. And the fight does need an over-the top promotional bonanza. Problem is, Arum turned this whole thing into who"s scared of who long time ago and its coming back to bit him in the butt now. Instead of legitimately trying to make the fight over the last couple years. He and the rest of Team Pacquaio has invested a lot more energy into convincing the world that Mayweather is scared of Pac. Now, its become more about who wins the PR war moreso who can win a boxing match. And in the PR arena, Pac's credibility as the Mayweather killer took a huge hit in his struggles with JMM. It made those who thought he was Mayweather's worst nightmare step back and take a legitimate look at this fight. And they realize what actual fight people have known all along. And that is Pac is up against it matched with Money. Arum and crew know it too. Thus, the stalling and continued attempts to fool the public. Problem is, very few are buying it now. He basically used Mayweather to build Pac into a megastar. Now, its time to pay the piper. Because truth is, much of ******* Nation is a lot more Mayweather haters than Pac fanatics. And if Pac loses the Mayweather haters, he's gonna be back to selling 400K-500K PPVs.
You understand, and have summed up the situation perfectly.
However I do not accept Arum's " excuses " for killing the fight.
This fight does not require additional promotion, maybe it possibly could benefit from it, but 4 months is certainly long enough.
A larger arena..... sure, just as above..... maybe the fight possibly could benefit from that, but the biggest grossing fight in boxing history was held at the MGM Grand, and like Hoya said..... if promotion/capacity becomes your major focus, then it could go on forever..... lets just get the fkn fight made, and stop flying with silly excuses.
There is no reason why May 5th is not the perfect date for that fight.
Great post bro.
