Should Khan fight Thaxton next? (After a "tune up")

I think he should take a few easy fights first to get his confidence back, he needs them after his last fight then maybe a guy like Thaxton, Thaxton would be a tough fight.

I think Khan needs to go back to the drawing board completely. They should pretend he is back at his first pro-fight and match him slowly and carefully with the goal of getting him to learn a specific style (I favour orthodox boxer, like Kessler) against opponents who will offer gradually incremental challenges, rather than ones who offer fast KOs designed to build hype.

The bottom line is that Khan, at 21, is still not ready for the higher level and a victory over someone like Thaxton (if Khan even won!) would simply place him back on the big fight fringes, where, right now, he doesn't need to be. Also a loss to Thaxton/ Romanov etc now would be very damaging to Khan's career and is something that could easily happen.
