It's pretty obvious why Sloan resigned abruptly. He foresaw early on that if Williams leaves Utah, the latter will follow in the footsteps of the epic fail that is Cleveland Cavs. Let's point out the factors...
1. Incompetent management traded Brewer, a budding guard and then let go of wingman shooters in Korver and Matthews. Players who attracts the defense with their outside shooting thus stretching the floor for Utah.
2. Carlos Boozer seeing that the incompetent Utah Jazz management moves decided to jump ship and go to the team which got the players Utah threw away. Chicago.
What an irony and an epic fail in incompetence for the Utah Jazz.
3. Utah predictably is losing. They no longer have their shooters and they have undesized big men to boot.
4. Williams leaving will put Utah in the same category similar to the Cleveland Cavs epic fail.
In all probability Williams will pursue free agency and sign with a better team. It's just that Sloan doesn't want to be on the ship when it starts to sink.
Anyone else agree?
