Hahhaa.. very funny... Let's stop pretending that Vitali Klitschko is not all 3 at any given moment. Ok so what the panel of haters are telling me is that the guy with the highest Knockout % in heavyweight history & the guy who wins the most rds on all 3 JUDGES scorecards in a fight.. THE only heavyweight in boxing history to land MORE power shots than his opponent from across the ring EVERY single time.. is NOT a slugger & apparently a singles doubles guy instead of a homerun hitter.. despite the fact that his PUNCHES lead to more boxers being stopped than any other boxer 200 lbs & over..... where's the logic in what all are you are trying to insinuate?

Even if Vitali is throwing all arm punches for the majority of his bouts in his second career with HALF his power behind them... don't you think the results of his bouts will have changed? The fact that he STILL gets his man out of there throwing punches with half his weight behind them... should Scare THE living shet out of anybody who steps in the ring with him.... Look at what happened before he had shoulder surgery & knee & back operations... 27 men all got ktfo at the beginning of his boxing career (another alltime boxing record) SO I SUGGEST you fools tell somebody who doesn't know that Vitali doesn't specialize in ALL 3 aspects of the fighting game.

Pre-retirement I would call him a slugger...he was actually a pretty exciting HW the way he would set people up with the jab...Post injury and nuthugger #1 ATG Vitali is almost a pure boxer in that he needs to do next to nothing in his bouts...the level of competition is so pathetic that it diminishes his actual skills along with it...ATG status is established mostly by resume, secondly by peak skills, and third by popularity...Vitali fails at the most important prerequisite for ATG status.

Is it his fault? Not really.

Does it affect his standings regarding ATG HWs? You bet your ass it does.

              Good fucking question actually...

He definietly know how to pick his punches, frustrate and faint his punches but he can also be relentless and swing.. More of a boxer, definitely. But at times he got those sluggish tendencies. He's not the fastest I was always surprised why he kept his hands so low when fighting. Must have a lot of faith in his height and chin.

Btw,,, BABE RUTH had the highest slugging % in baseball history & was the best homerun hitter in history in terms of efficiency. (We'll forget some.of Bonds & Mcgwire;s illegal shots).. Point being Vitali has the highest slugging % in boxing history as he has best ko ratio. Now Ruth didn't garner all his slugging % strictly with homeruns.. he had a very high average... singles.. doubles.. triples all contributed to him being the best slugger in history.... Vitali is the same way.. he increases his slugging % merely by landing punches & getting the end result of a homerun. You might say Tyson OR bRIGGS who got there man out of there in the ist rd would have better percentages... but what about all the other fights when they weren't landing there shots ''let alone homerun bombs>> It's about consistency. Vitali got Solis out of there in less than a rd. & his first 27 victims all averaged 3 or 4 rds tops.. so he's hit plenty of homeruns himself.. it's just that he consistently gets more singles.. doubles & sometimes triples to keep his slugging % at an alltime best.. I don't expect the haters to understand this analogy but the smart ones will get it.

So you're discounting known PED abusers McGwire and Bonds, yet praising another known PED abuser in Vitali? Vitali got caught using PEDs and should be banned from the HOF the same way McGwire and Bonds will be from the Baseball HOF.

The reason he keeps his hands so low is firstly to set up his jab. This enables him to be in STRIKING position at all times. He doesn't have to prepare his jab by loading it because it's already out of the holster... so ANY move his opponent makes.. he's ready to strike first... the jab is essentially Vitali PLAYING D. Secondly.. the right hand is held low because that's the punch he uses for offense.

He dares you to hit him because he already knows he's in position to hit you & trusts in the fact he can get out of the way of your incoming shot by keeping you at bay with his fists & leaning back out of harms way..

He has an uncanny ability to sense when his opponent wants to throw something & trusts in his reflexes.. the rare times when this line of defense fails.. he KNOWS he'll be able to roll with any shot you land by being positioned further away from the punch & it takes away some of the sting. Getting hit by a punch ONLY wakes Vitali up & just increases the volume of punches he throws in retaliation.. so i suggest you make it a good one like Sanders & Lewis did on a few occasions.
