  • The past month has been kind to Arum

He just had a butt-load of potential fights dropped into his lap.

    1. Thanks to the Provo/Bradley fight, people not only generated more interest in Bradley, but provo too. They can carry that fright with them and promote off of that for future fights.
    2. Rios/Alvarado was another war and with Alvarado winning this time, more options opened up.

    Like this:
With Alvarado winning, Pac has another potential opponent in Alvarado, as well Marquez.... even Bradley.
Now, Arum has 2 potential PPV events this year. Pac vs anyone is a standalone, but if you pair him up with Provo/Alvarado/Rios, you can take Marquez vs Bradley and put the other two on the undercard and sell that.

And not even that.... with these 6 men, he can just cycle them through and make fights like a merry go round. Even if Pac and Marquez retire, he still has 4 men to hold a mini tourney in the end.

So... all I'm saying....expect these 6 men to be the center of Top Ranks efforts the next year.

    Pacquiao
    Marquez
    Bradley
    Rios
    Alvarado
    Provo

Honestly, I don't like him.... but even though the these 6 fighters are all in house, just the way he likes it, these are some really fan friendly fights.

True, Ruslan made a name for himself. Who wouldn't wanna see him fight again? Tim defiantly made more fans and kinda got fans to not think about the PAC fight as the only thing that defines him. He's a tough guy. Not a fan but he's a good fighter. Alvarado just made a bigger name for himself Saturday and hopefully Bob doesn't diss him. TR is looking ok so far. Fck Arum though. I can't stand that old piece of sht.

And the thing is... he can fall back on all these rematches in the end.
          Pac/Marquez 5
          Rios/Alvarado 3
          Provo/Bradley 2

Arum got lucky with the Bradley vs Rulsan fight being what it turned out to be. Nobody saw that type of back and forth war coming. We already knew what we were going to get with Alvardo vs Rios. The things is though Alvarado and Rios took fights off each others career with those 2 fights. If they do a 3rd fight as each others next fight their managers would be ****ing fools. They both need to rest and fight stay busy cab driver. Marquez and Manny are both on their last legs and runs in boxing. Marquez koing Manny has his Jordan vs the Utah Jazz moment and should go out like that but he is not.

IMO Arum has fights on paper because of performances and name recognition but in terms of what will happen on fight night remains to be seen. Marquez and Manny are at that point where you never know if this is the night father time catches them no matter who they are fighting(elite or a cab driver). Bradley is ready to roll and be where he is for a while. Ruslan, Rios and Alvarado won't last long taking that kind of punishment and fighting in consistent wars like that that.

Damn, you basically hit all the nails on the head. There's really nothing else to add to this other than luck has been on Bob's side the past few months. The RESULTS of those fights are what strengthened his stable a little more.

Marquez/Bradley is PPV worthy if he makes it around September with the Mexican holiday around that time.

That's what people pay for.... the fights on paper. Nobody knows how a fight is going to go down until the bell rings man.

Arum also has yet to use Allakhverdiev in any meaningful way, so yes, he is in a very lucky position.

This is the forgotten piece of the puzzle. Khabib gives Arum so much more flexibility in his mixing and matching from 40-47

Then you got Jesse Vargas too.
