Sure. Because Floyd did exactly the opposite of everything Senior told him to do in the fight and won by a land slide. Had he listened to his father he might have got dragged into a brawl and possibly stopped. Great trainer though.

In my book, a trainer has to train more than one successful fighter to win trainer of the year. So...NO, he doesn't deserve it.
