You would have thought if anyone were to doubt the moon landing, it would have been those pesky Soviets. But no, they tipped their hats in acknowledgement. It seems the main doubters are usually Americans. Incredible really.
the greatest view of the stars ever seen by man and on the footage theirs nothing. its not like they could fake a view of the stars, astronomers would of torn em to shreds in minutes so they just didnt bother.
typically american. the moon landing, JFK, 9/11...whats new
..."six of the missions -- Apollos 11, 12, 14, 15, 16 and 17 -- went on to land on the moon, studying soil mechanics, meteoroids, seismic, heat flow, lunar ranging, magnetic fields and solar wind"...
They probably could have faked it if they wanted, but ultimately there was no reason to. Maybe if the USSR looked for sure like it would pull it off imminently before they had everything together. It's not like it took hyper-advanced technology to simply do it.
There's no real reason to go with technology at its current level. Until they can set up a permanent moon base what's the point, not like there's anything interesting left there even from a scientific standpoint
