Hamed was not the most famous boxer when he was in his prime. Not even close. He wasn't even the most famous fighter from the UK because Lennox was still around. Hamed was exciting but his resume is laughable and he lost to the only elite fighter he faced. He's not a hall of famer.

Hamed was watched by people who didnt even like boxing.
Larry Merchant said that Hamed was the reason smaller fighters could now get much bigger pay days.
So not only was Hamed FW champion for 6 years and beat all other champions, he also changed the pay structure of boxing.
Who didnt he fight during those 6 years? JMM? No one even knew who he was until years later when he fought Pac.
Losing a UD to Barrera shouldnt be a big criticism when you look at other inductees.
