because he knows it would be a KO loss and the hype would end.

canelo will take the safer route by fighting a way past prime, smaller and bloated cotto.

Sure. GGG can definitely be the face. He will be the face for sometime. If Wilder gets buzz for being the Heavyweight champion from The US he will be one of the big names in Boxing. And then there is Errol Spence. Hard working talent, that could be one of the next American greats. He has extreme talent.

He'll fight Cotto and then Golovkin, nothing wrong with that.

Maybe because he couldn't take out Floyd? I don't know.
Hard to be the next big name when you lose to the current big name...it was suppose to be the"PASSING OF THE TORCH" and not only did he fail but he failed miserably......

But he is the next big name, he's already a current name.

                  Look at the PPV guys:

                  Mayweather - 37
                  Pacquiao - 35
                  Froch - 37
                  Cotto - 33

                  Alvarez - 24

In saying that PPV as a concept actually only really serves to keep fighters away from the masses.

canelo has yet to convincingly beat a top fighter. i don't understand why he gets so much hype for achieving so little. he is not even the best young mexican boxer today and isn't very exciting.
                    who is then?

But you can put your mouth on it (assuming it fits).
