  • Comments Thread For: Arum Has Meeting Set With Marquez To Talk Pacquiao 5

Top Rank promoter Bob Arum insists that Juan Manuel Marquez has not turned down a fifth fight with Manny Pacquiao and says the speculation over a possible opponent for Pacquiao - other than Marquez - is unwarranted and suggested that everybody stays quiet.

In a conversation with BoxingScene.com/Manila Standard, Arum revealed that he is meeting with Marquez this week, obviously to discuss a fifth fight with Pacquiao which he had planned for September.

Arum told us “as long as he’s fighting, he’s not a fool. Of course he’s going to fight Manny rather than fight somebody for a lot less money.” [Click Here To Read More]

This reporter is so biased with his "astute Top Rank promoter" nonsense. Is this what passes for journalism around here?

Does this mean that PAC was a fool for fighting someone other than Mayweather for a lot less money?

Good to know the majority of Filipinos are honorable. lol It's funny how he had to break down the scoring issues in the first fight after mentioning Pac's KO.

It just annoys me that this Ronnie guy breaks so many journalism style rules on an elite boxing website.

Ronnie N is Indian. He's not Filipino at all.

5th fight or not. marquez has arum and pacquiao by the ballz.i got a kick at how ronnie n. said that pacquiao was denied a decision after 3 knock downs. and that pac is not chasing marquez.in my opinion.none of that crap means anything. what matters is that juan manuel dinamita marquez put ducquiao to sleep.
