MASHANTUCKET, CT - In the co-featured attraction of Premier Boxing Champions on ESPN and ESPN Deportes Thursday night from Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, CT, hard-hitting Ievgen Khytrov (13-0, 11 KOs) lay a non-stop attack on Paul Mendez (19-3-2, 9 KOs) before eventually earning a stoppage in the ninth-round of their middleweight matchup.

Lemme guess what the fan excuses will be; he either wants too much money, is on the wrong network, doesn't really want it, etc.
Because, no one ever calls out Golovkin, right????

Let me get this straight. A bunch of you whine incessantly that Golovkin only fights 'bums'. Yet now you're incinuating that he's ducking this guy, who's not even top10 ranked in MW?

When he fights solid Top10 guys, he's fighting cans. When he doesn't want to fight them (and not saying he doesn't), he's got excuses.

There's no winning with the haters. B1tches will always find something to b1tch about.

Golovkin doesn't fight Eastern Euros. He fears tough Russians and Ukrainians.

            Lordy, talk about whining bytches....
At least make an effort to read, FFS. I never said a damn thing about GGG ducking him. I'm talking about the people who say that no one ever wants to fight Golovkin, "whole division is shook" noise.

Khytrov is slow and sloppy, no match for GGG. But, that doesn't change the fact that there are people in Golovkin's weight class who want to fight him, yet FANS (not Golovkin, just fans) pollute this place saying no one in the division will fight him.

Khytrov has huge upside. He's part of a solid group of up and coming Middleweights with the likes of Quigley, Fox, Ogbogo, etc.....

He's got the skills, style, and manager to take him far in the future.

Khytrov is ranked with all the sanctioning bodies (highest ranking is WBC #5), promoted by Dibella (i think), and managed by Haymon. I think Khytrov is more likely to face Jacobs first, especially since he fights out of Brooklyn.

I'm not sure where you got the "whole division is shook". He has a good name and offers a good payday. There are 50 fighters who will gladly fight him for a payday. This dude is one of them - just like Khurtsidze, Heiland and Johnson are.

The point is that he's 34 years old, has worked hard to build a name for himself and now needs to get the best fighters possible in the ring with him. Fighters that do something for his resume or his legacy.
It's THOSE guys who are refusing to fight him. Sturm, Martinez, Quillin, Cotto, Canelo, BJS, Jacobs, etc.

Saying "whole division is shook" doesn't even pass the logic test.
