The force of this movie was not repulsive, it was attractive. Lets just say my reaction to this force was normal...to the surface, oh snap. The gravitational constant is 6.67 * (10^-11) (N*m/kg)^2. Gravitational force is directly proportional to the mass products, and is inversely proportional to distance squared.

It was alright. I am looking forward to X-Men, Godzilla, Robocop, Jurassic Park IV, and Prometheus II. Sci-fi is my favorite genre, and space movies of any kind are great. I am a proponent of space movies, sci-fi, and history, even.

It didn't make sense, when clooney is hanging on for his life and let's go to save the chick, what exactly makes him go floating off into space ?

There was no force acting on him in that direction, he would have just stayed there floating when he let go and would have just had to pull himself for a second in the direction of satellite then let go.
