Baseball - Ken Griffey, Jr (HM: Rickey Henderson, Alex Rodriguez)

We know that he can run but it would be nice to see him display other athletic gifts. The best athletes are the most versatile athletes imo.

Both silver and bronze have been caught for drugs in the past, so im pretty sure bolts on the sauce as well...

There are only a few countries fanatical about NFL and basketball. By contrast, kids from Brazil, Germany, Nigeria, Argentina, Ghana, Italy, Mexico, Cameroon, France, South Africa, Britain, Chile, the Netherlands, Columbia, and about 100 other nations grow up mainly on soccer. I don't think the competition in any other sport is anywhere near as fierce. Being in the top 10 of another sport might make you 1 in 50,000; being in the top 10 in soccer might make you 1 in a million.

PEDS is an issue across athletics in general. There hasn't been one athlete mentioned in this thread who you can say for sure is 100% clean. Without being biased or nationalistic.

I understand what you're getting at ... honestly I think Messi is the best footballer EVER ... but I just don't think he's a better athlete than someone like Bo Jackson ... that's just my opinion and I'm in awe of Messi as well
