I fail to see why anyone would see that as a unrespectable endeavor.

I'm surprised by people defending Greenburg and HBO, but I guess that's just BoxingScene and its knee-jerk reactions, automatically bashing Arum and/or Pacquiao just because it's Arum or Pacquiao.

Greenburg's a good producer, which is why HBO always puts on excellent documentaries. He doesn't know anything about boxing, why is why HBO boxing has gone into the tank over the last 5-6 years.
