Why did it take Lennox so long to arrive on the scene?

Well Lewis turned pro in 1989. He wanted to box in the Olympics, so that's why he came in late I guess.

Tyson turned pro in 1985 and by the time Lewis was 1-0, Tyson had beaten Frank Bruno in his 36th pro fight.

Lennox would need years to build up a reputation.

He went to the Olympics and wanted to win that Gold medal in 1988. Maybe if he had won it in 1984 we would have seen him as a pro earlier.

The fight we needed to see was Tyson-Holyfield in 1991.

tyson was built like a grown man when he was 15 years old

lennox has a longer body and they take a lot longer to mature and fill out.

I know in the long term lewis became a better "boxer" but do you really think when tyson was on he rampage while d'amato still had a leash on him lewis couldve really won that fight, imo no way!

Let me teach you something real quick. Tyson in his prime would have run through Lewis he was 1/10th the fighter when Lewis got him. As far as Vitali goes, keep reaching. Vitali has interviews talking about training for over a year specifically for Lewis. Lewis took the fight on less than a months notice. was way overweight and still beat the brakes off Vitali. Seen the fight multiple times Vitali was up by a round or 2 by Lewis had been rocking him the last 2 rounds and had all the momentum. plus the cut was caused by the punch. look at vitali face then look at Lewis you can tell who lost.

Tyson was roughly ten years past his prime only fighting for a paycheck.
