Slave breeding was not common in the antebellum south , only a few slave owners attempted to do such a thing. So the whole "black athletic prowess is due to slave breeding" is untrue and proved wrong by historians and scholars alike.

It takes a special kind attitude and ego to beat someone down. What you think that kind of mentality started only in the gym, it was developed there no doubt.

it's all about skin pigmentation. there's something like metaclorins that makes dark skinned people have jedi like reflexes, skills, and toughness.
if you have dark skin pigmentation and you are from the inner city, you automatically are a great slick counterpuncher, which beats every other style out there.

But even that is a myth in itself as most African American fighters are boxer/punchers and again, it has nothing to do with their racial/ethnic make up.
Some people are questioning what Martinez and Canelo fall under. How ****ing ignorant and stupid is that? These fighters aren't cataloged by what type of blood runs through their veins, but rather the experiences which molded them into what they are now. Those experience are derivatives of their upbringing and social acclimation. Canelo is a Mexican fighter because he was RAISED in Mexico. Canelo could be of Japenese decent and he would still be a Mexican fighter because that is WHO he is.
Ethicity, nationality, blood line: All this has nothing to do with the talent of a fighter. Culture, experience, social upbringing has EVERYTHING to do with the talent of a fighter.

Max Kellerman says that black boxers have innately "superior athleticism" but I think he's a crackpot. We saw that Martinez is more athletic than Williams, that Wladimir Klitschko is more athletic than Sam Peter, etc.
It has nothing to do with race, it has to do with individual capabilities and learned boxing styles.

Let me give an example...... Nigel Benn was brought up in a tough neighbourhood and got into a lot of fights and trouble as a kid, his style was a last man standing all out attack kinda thing, he is british.... Mike Tyson had a similar style as Benn and he was also a gun ho kinda guy, he was brought up in a tough neighbourhood and got into a lot of fights as a kid, he is american.... its these environmental issues that mold fighters, just take a look at brendal ingles gym, everyone in there has the same style, Naz was from yemen and ryan rhodes is white british but they have similar styles
