It just seems the award is handed out to excitement rather then fundamental fighters who remain steady and on top..in the 90's Whitaker could easily have gotten it,in the 2000's Floyd could have easily gotten it..but it seems they do not award defensive fighters

Roy Jones was best defensive fighter of the 90s tho

Yea floyd should've been fighter of the decade if only he didn't retire. I can't lie tho 2006-2009 manny was dominating so it was really a toss up. Interesting fact tho.

Notice that the top 3 p4p (not mine personally but a good majority of media)fighters are all defensive minded boxers. Ie mayweather ward bradley
