Well you're wrong about that. Hearns had the dicipline to outbox plenty of fighters including Virgil Hill. And Hearns didn't have a "bad chin." Margarito is no Hagler and he doesn't have the skills of Leonard or the power of Iran Barkley.

Hill isn't a come forward fighter, anybody who wanted to mix it up with Hearns could Hearns just couldn't resist it. Margarito has the same kind of (P4P)granite chin and as Hagler. Also Hearns does have a bad chin if he didn't he would have never lost every single one of his losses was a result of Hearns getting caught.

No he doesn't. Hagler was never stopped or even seriously hurt in a fight. Margarito has been dropped and he's been KO'd. And Hagler fought better competition and harder punchers than Margarito has.

Hagler retired before he became shot and there level of competition was very similar and they each fought guys who had big time pop. Margarito in his prime took everybody's best punch and was never hurt. Hearns was stopped when he got into slugfest with guys he couldn't KO.

I dont care if Margarito did have the chin of Hagler(which he didnt). his defense, strength and technique are all far inferior to Hagler, and Hearns would continually pummel Margarito with right hands and barely get hit in the process due to his boxing ability.

Margarito's chin would crack eventually...and thats not even taking into consideration that Hearns would be laying into him with body shots(just another thing Hearns was adept at).

Hearns wasnt even that brittle at 154lbs, and Marg was never a huge puncher at 154...he was an accumulation puncher. so that makes a fluke KO punch even more unlikely.
